To play Tibia, install the Visual C++ Redistributable packages. If the client doesn't open, install:
Information: how to save minimap and hotkeys
  1. Close the game.
  2. Open the client folder (right-click the shortcut > Open file location).
  3. Copy the minimap folder and the hotkeys file (hotkeys.json on the standard client, or hotkeys.otml/hotkeys.otcv8 on GTC).
  4. After updating/reinstalling, paste them back into the same folder, overwriting the files.
Quick tips:
- GTC (Windows): you can open %APPDATA% in Explorer and look for the GTC folder.
- Official client (Windows): in many cases it's located in %LOCALAPPDATA% (paste that into the Explorer address bar).
- Always make a zip backup of the minimap folder and the hotkeys file before updating.
